Sonakshi Sinha is enjoying the limelight now that her web series with Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Heeramandi. The actress has been showcasing her powerful acting chops in her recent works. Is Sonakshi Sinha interested in politics?

While talking to Raj Shamani, Sonakshi Sinha was asked if she was going to join politics. For the unversed Sonakshi’s dad, Shatrughan Sinha and mom, Poonam Sinha are into politics. Her brother Luv Sinha also entered into politics. He had contested elections in the 2020 Bihar Legislative Assembly election from INC Bankipur constituency. So Sonakshi was also asked if she, too, would join politics. The actress humorously replied, “No, fir vahan bhi tum nepotism nepotism karoge.” She put the jokes aside and said that she didn’t think she would because she had seen her dad working. Sonakshi feels she doesn’t have the aptitude to be in politics. The Rowdy Rathore actress says that her father is a people person and she is a private person. Sonakshi says one has to be a people’s person and be there for people from any corner of the country. While her father has that, she feels she lacks it. Sonakshi shares that she is completely and truly open with only a few people in her life which is opposite to what the profile in politics requires. The R Rajkumar actress says that one has to appeal to people and embrace their problems as their own which she feel she would not be able to do so. “So, no point, no getting into something just for the sake of it,” she concludes.
