She shared how she fell in love with Kumar while shooting for the film, Love Story. She revealed that Kumar Gaurav was very fond of her and was always around her, holding her hands and being there with her. But his father and the film’s producer, Rajendra Kumar was not happy about it. Rajendra Kumar had decided to get Kumar engaged to Raj Kapoor‘s daughter Reema Kapoor and hence was not happy with Kumar and Vijayta’s relationship. She further revealed how she went for the engagement and complimented Kumar for the huge ring Reema put in his fingers.

She added she was unaware of what happened after that and also got to know that contrary to rumours of his engagement breaking because of her, it was actually his affair with Namrata Dutt that led to the break up.
