Kanguva is one of the most awaited films that fans were eagerly waiting for. Suriya’s much-awaited Kanguva has finally been released in theatres and fans are going gaga over the same. The epic-fantasy film which has been directed by Siva. The film stars Suriya in double roles of Kanguva and Francis Theodore. The movie was originally announced in 2019, but got shelved due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The film once again in 2022 got started. If reports are to be believed, then Kanguva has been made on a budget of Rs 350 crore. Bobby Deol plays the role of Udhiran and Disha Patani plays Francis’ ex-girlfriend Angelina. As per a report in Bollywoodshadis, Disha charged Rs 3 crore for the project. Disha Patani made her Tamil debut with Kanguva. She was originally slated to make her Tamil debut with Sundar C’s Sangamithra. But, the film never started off. Her interest later shifted to Bollywood and she went to carve a successful niche for herself in films like Bharat and Radhe. Kanguva’s storyline is about Francis, a skilled bounty hunter based in Goa who join hands with his ex-girlfriend Angela and his loyal friend Yogi Babu. During a bounty hunt, Francis and Yogi encounter a mysterious young girl, Zeta who runs away from dangerous forces. Their mission starts getting complicated.

On the work front, Disha was also part of Deepika Padukone and Prabhas‘ starrer Kalki 2898 AD. The film also featured Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan in main roles. Disha’s first Telugu film was Loafer alongside Varun Tej in 2015. She will be seen in Welcome to the Jungle. This Bollywood actress made her Tamil debut with Kanguva and reportedly charged Rs 3 Crore for role.
