Pakistani film The Legend of Maula Jatt created a lot of waves at the global box office. The film starring Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan released in October 2022. As per reports, it made more than Rs 400 crore at the box office. However, the film did not get a release in India. Due to the political tensions between the two countries, no Pakistani film released in India in the last 10 years. The Legend of Maula Jatt will be the first one in a decade to hit screens in India. However, here’s a shocking news for all the fans of Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. The movie will only release in Punjab. In a chat with the entertainment news section of India Today, producer Nadeem Mandviwalla, who distributed The Legend of Maula Jatt in Pakistan, revealed that the film is only releasing on in Punjab in India. It will not release all over the country. Nadeem Mandviwalla still hopes that The Legend of Maula Jatt starring Fawad Khan will received a good business even though it has been two years since the release and the buzz has died down. However, the word of mouth may help the film to get decent numbers. Nadeem Mandviwalla also is hopeful that The Legend of Maula Jatt will perform well at the box office as the film is not available on any OTT platform. He said, “It might take a little time as the film is releasing after two years and the excitement is no longer there as it was in 2022, during its original release. However, the word of mouth of the film is bound to create that excitement again.” Talking about the film, The Legend of Maula Jatt is the remake of 1979 film Maula Jatt. It is directed by Bilal Lashari. Fawad Khan plays the role of Maula Jatt who seeks revenge on Noori Natt, a feared warrior in the land of Punjab. Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan both appeared in Bollywood movies. However, their journey in Bollywood got cut short due to the ban on Pakistani artists working in India.
