Taapsee Pannu strongly reacts to her strained relationship with paparazzi, ‘I don’t have to appease a section of so-called media’

Taapsee Pannu is quite vocal about her thoughts, be it about her movies, personal life, social media trolling, or even paparazzi. There have been viral videos of the Dunki actress requesting that the cameramen keep their distance. At times, Taapsee had to raise her voice to address the cameramen. In a new interview, the actress has opened up about her rift with the paparazzi and why it doesn’t matter to her to appease them. She posed a question, asking who clicks on positive news nowadays. The negative news is more sensational. The Pink actress gave examples of how negative news, such as her being nasty and rude to paparazzi, tends to garner more clicks because people are curious about the details. Regarding the paparazzi, Taapsee Pannu stated that they don’t bring her films. Her films speak for themselves. So she doesn’t believe in appeasing a section of so-called media. The Baby actress added that she doesn’t even call them direct media, as they’re serving their vested interest that someone should click on their portal. Taapsee believes that media is not supposed to desperately put out lines or videos that are used only for clickbait. Taapsee Pannu said that the paparazzi know exactly when they get too close, shout at her, or chase her car. She added that she doesn’t want to apologise for her privilege. Pannu stated that she is just a regular woman who wants them to respect her privacy and personal space.

On the work front, Taapsee Pannu was last seen in Dunki. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film also stars Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Anil Grover, Boman Irani, and others. The actress will next appear in the Netflix film Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. Directed by Jayprad Desai, it is a sequel to her 2021 romantic thriller Haseen Dillruba. Also starring Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal, the sequel will stream on Netflix on August 9, 2024. The actress is also a part of Khel Khel Mein, a comedy drama starring Akshay Kumar, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, and others.
