“It belongs in a museum!”
That’s what Dr. Henry “Indiana” Jones said about the Ark of the Covenant but also how Kristen Doute felt about the thotty green dress she wore to pick up mail from her ex’s apartment in Vanderpump Rules season three. On Tuesday night’s WWHL, Doute gifted that green dress to the Clubhouse and the Andy Cohen archives of Reality Television Arts and Sciences. “This is major!” Cohen exclaimed while receiving perhaps the most crucial artifact of early VPR (Jax’s sweater notwithstanding). “This is going to BravoCon, this is traveling with us …This is history.”
“I’m a different kind of crazy now,” Doute said as she explained her decision to gift this sacred relic. “I’m a mom now!” For those late to the VPR party, you Scandoval-come-latelies, the Green Dress was always exhibit A for why Doute was a crazy ex-girlfriend from heck. Who gets so dressed up to get stuff from their ex’s house? Doute later went on the record saying production had semi-tricked her into the outfit. Doute said they told her she’d be filming a Sex and the City–style brunch with her friend Rachael O’Brien but first she had to shoot a scene with Tom Sandoval. “I had two things to shoot that day; one did not air,” Doute told the BravBros podcast, saying “it didn’t even cross my mind” that production was setting her up to look insane. The dress had previously appeared in the Museum of Broken Relationships Los Angeles, as featured on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor.
