K-Drama “My Demon” Viewers Believe They Know Who The True Villain Is Already

SBS TV‘s new K-Drama My Demon recently premiered, and viewers believe they already know the true villain’s identity.

A pitiless demon becomes powerless after getting entangled with an icy heiress, who may hold the key to his lost abilities — and his heart.

My Demon stars Song Kang as demon Jeong Gu Won and Kim You Jung (also romanized as Kim Yoo Jung) as heiress Do Do Hee.

In the first episode, we were introduced to actor Kim Seol Jin‘s character, who has yet to be identified by a name. He has attempted to kill Do Do Hee.

Yet, after the death of Mirae chairwoman Ju Cheon Suk (Kim Hae Sook) in Episode 3, we know there is at least one more villain. Her medication was switched to one that only her family members knew she was allergic to.

Now, Do Do Hee is suspicious of all. Based on clips and flashbacks, Ju Cheon Suk’s oldest son, Noh Suk Min (Kim Tae Hoon), his son, and his sister appear very guilty. They also do not cooperate with Do Do Hee in investigating more and want to cover up Ju’s death.

Still, viewers think an unassuming person is the real villain of this story.

One of the last family members introduced was the disheveled Ju Seok Hoon (Lee Sang Yi), Chairwoman Ju’s nephew, whom Do Do Hee described as “purely a business partner to Madam Ju.” Before her passing, Ju had suggested he and Do Do Hee became a couple, wishing for Do to marry, but the two refused.

However, Ju Seok Hoon has indicated he likes Do Do Hee by his glances and actions, although she doesn’t acknowledge it. Based on his brief interactions with the main characters, it seemed like the show intended him for the second male lead of a love triangle.

But viewers have another idea. Recently, several posts have gone viral on social media apps, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter), suggesting that Ju Seok Hoon is the villain who betrayed Chairwoman Ju based on his similarities to another famous K-Drama character.

In Vincenzo, we were first introduced to 2PM‘s Ok Taecyeon‘s character as Jang Jun Woo, a naive intern at Woosang law firm who appeared to like his superior. Yet, he was later revealed to be a psychopathic antagonist, Babel CEO Jung Han Seok.

Netizens are convinced that My Demon is attempting to do the same thing by tricking viewers into thinking that Seok Hoon is just a sweet and innocent man but is actually an evil mastermind. We all have trust issues!

Who do you think killed Chairwoman Ju?
