TXT debuted under Big Hit Entertainment before the company acquired other labels, transforming into HYBE, and is currently under BIGHIT MUSIC.

Yeonjun continues saying that he felt good about comments like this, saying that they showed TXT they were part of Big Hit. Jaejoong says that rather than being “HYBE style” with their music they were Big Hit style, to which Yeonjun and Beomgyu agree.

Yeonjun’s comments about this distinction come after the controversies in which HYBE has been involved.

First, netizens have been hyper-critical of HYBE’s training techniques following live vocal controversies involving LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT, who debuted after HYBE existed. Many felt that the company labels were not focusing on live performances when preparing trainees.

Secondly, ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin’s exposure of how LE SSERAFIM and other groups were formed, including how she selected NewJeans‘s Minji, sparked concerns over the entire process.

Netizens found the timing ironic, commenting on their preference for Big Hit over HYBE.
