Are Anupamaa and Mangal Lakshmi similar?

Netizens found the story of Mangal Lakshmi and Anupamaa similar. Now, speaking to Telly Bytes, Deepika reacted to the same. She said that Anupamaa and Mangal Lakshmi are not similar. She shared that when she started she knew the story of at least 100 episodes of Mangal Lakshmi and it was nothing like Anupamaa. She also said that no two shows can ever be the same as no two people are same and no two writers, or scripts can be the same. Every writer, director, and artist have different energy; hence, no two shows can be similar. She said she believes in this and Mangal Lakshmi is about sisters. However, she said Mangal and her husband’s equation is just a part of the show and is not the same as Anupamaa. She said that some might have felt that it is like Rajan Shahi‘s Anupamaa but that is not true. However, Deepika said that Anupamaa is an amazing show and if her show reaches that level, it will be a blessing for her. She also added that her mother-in-law watches Anupamaa as well.
