For the past month, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have been making headlines with rumours about disruptions in their married lives. Reports suggest they might be heading for a divorce, but neither Abhishek nor Aishwarya have confirmed or denied these claims. This isn’t the first time such rumours have surfaced, and the couple has typically chosen to remain silent. The speculation began topping the entertainment news arena in July, when Abhishek and Aishwarya attended the Ambani wedding separately. Abhishek appeared on the red carpet with his parents, Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, his sister Shweta, and Navya and Agastya Nanda. On the other hand, Aishwarya attended alone with their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan. No photos of Abhishek and Aishwarya together at the event surfaced, which fuelled divorce rumours further. The situation intensified when Abhishek liked an Instagram post related to divorce. In the weeks since, new rumours have continued to circulate. Recently, the Dhoom 2 star shared a post from his visit to the Paris Olympics 2024 on Instagram but disabled comments on the post. The actor switched off the comments as his previous post was flooded with many negative comments. The Manmarziyaan actor captioned the post, “It was amazing to get to witness the #parisolympics2024 with my friends from #Omega. We’ve worked together for about 18 years and their attention to detail and timekeeping has always awed me. The energy in the entire city was palpable and especially in the stadiums. And then to have the honour of seeing our very own @neeraj____chopra was the icing on the cake. Seeing our beloved tricolour in the stadium was a moment of such pride!!! Felt like. Paradise.”

Recently, a video went viral in which Abhishek was asked about the state of his marriage during a screening of Aishwarya’s 2016 film, Sarbjit. He dismissed the questions, suggesting the media was only seeking headlines, and even showed his wedding ring to reporters.
