Ever since the quiz-based reality show started airing, Big B has entertained the audience with fun anecdotes from his movie sets and shared insightful stories on life. He also helped a few contestants who struggled financially. Amidst all this, the show finally got its first crorepati. The first crorepati of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 is contestant Chander Prakash. In a video shared by Sony TV on Instagram, we see Amitabh Bachchan telling Prakash that he won Rs 1 crore. Along with the prize money, the contestant also won a car. The moment he got the answer right, Big B excitement got up from his chair and cheered ‘1 crore’ and gave Chander a tight hug. In the comments section, netizens are quite impressed with Chander Prakash. Who is Chander Prakash and what was the 1-crore question? Chander Prakash is a 22-year-old UPSC aspirant from Jammu & Kashmir. As reported by the Times of India, Chander’s life has been full of hardships due to health obstacles. There was a blockage in his intestine when he was born, due to which he had to undergo several surgeries. The doctors have asked him to do the 8th surgery soon.

Further in this entertainment news, the question that help him win him Rs 1 crore was this: The largest city in which country is not its capital but a port with an Arabic name that means ‘abode of peace’? The options for this question were Somalia, Oman, Tanzania, and Brunei. Chander used the Double Dip lifeline and answered Tanzania, which was the right answer and won Rs 1 crore. After that, he was even asked the 7-crore question. As Chander didn’t have any lifelines left, he didn’t take the risk and decided to quit the show. However, when Amitabh asked him to choose the answer for the question ‘Who was the first recorded child born to English parents in North America in 1587?’, the contestant answered ‘Virginia Dare’. It was the right answer and could’ve helped him win Rs 7 crore. Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 finally got its first contestant who won Rs 1 crore. Amitabh Bachchan’s reaction to the same is priceless.
