Will Nitesh Tiwari be able to justify Lord Ram’s epic saga? Ashutosh Rana reacts
Lord Ram’s story came into the limelight once again in cinema post-January 22, 2024, when the Ram Mandir was inaugurated in Ayodhya after years of struggle. After that, a television show was made on Ramayana, and speculations are strong that filmmakers are keen to make a film based on or at least inspired by Ramayana. Ashutosh Rana‘s connection with Lord Ram is truly special. He has participated in Ram Leelas when he used to stay in his hometown Gadarwara, Madhya Pradesh. He later wrote a book called Ramrajiya, which was bestowed with several awards. He recently is also a part of a play called Humare Ram, where he essays the character of Ravan. Hence, we asked Ashutosh Rana about his thoughts on whether Bollywood director Nitesh Tiwari can justify a subject like Ramayana. Ashutosh Rana said, ”It would be wrong on my part to comment on whether Nitesh Tiwari can justify Lord Ram’s story. I know Nitesh only through films; I don’t know him personally. Hence, I am really not in a place to comment on it.” While Ashutosh Rana refused to comment, it would certainly be a massive challenge for Nitesh Tiwari to tick all the right boxes with Ramayana. Rumors are rife that Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi will essay the characters of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita.
